Butterfly Release Project @ Black Family Empowerment Day

URCC is committed to having business practices that unite our community not divide it. In order to stand in unity with our community AND conserve our resources we have decided to merge the Butterfly Release Project with an existing community-outreach event, Black Family Empowerment Day. On Sunday, September 28th we will be a vendor at this event hosted by the San Diego Urban Warriors (SDUW). We are grateful for an opportunity to celebrate mental health recovery by releasing butterflies into the community.

The “6th Annual Black Family Empowerment Day” is a day full of panel discussions, workshops, extensive resources, DJ, music, dancing, food, vendors, live music and togetherness in Black community. This event is the embodiment of love, in our own NEIGHBORhood and continues the restoration of our communities back to its greatness. Black Family Empowerment Day keeps us grounded in our traditional roots.

Location: Marie Wideman Park & Graffiti Gardens.
